[Faculty Recruitment] Full-Time Faculty Position at the Department of Law, National Dong Hwa University

1. Number of Positions:

  • One Full-Time Assistant Professor or Above (including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor).
  • 1-3 candidates may be placed on the waiting list.
  • The department reserves the right to appoint candidates as full-time or project-based positions based on qualifications, experience, and research outcomes.

2. Expected Start Date:

  • The first semester of the 114 academic year (starting August 1, 2024).
  • The actual start date will depend on the timeline of the university's appointment review process.

3. Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in the field of law, recognized by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan).
  • Expertise in Basic Jurisprudence, with the ability to teach Procedural Law.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests in Indigenous Law, particularly those with relevant publications.

4. Application Materials Required:

  1. Application Checklist.
  2. Curriculum Vitae (including a list of publications).
  3. Academic and Professional Credentials (including a copy of the doctoral dissertation).
    • Additional requirements for foreign qualifications:
      • Certificates of foreign academic qualifications, transcripts, and proof of overseas experience must be authenticated by a Taiwanese representative office abroad.
      • Verified Chinese translations certified by an overseas office or domestic notary public.
      • Summary of study progress form for foreign degrees (doctoral programs require a minimum of 16 months on campus; combined master's and doctoral programs require at least 24 months on campus).
      • Immigration records for entry/exit (not required for foreign or overseas Chinese applicants).
    • Doctoral candidates must provide proof from their advisor or institution of thesis defense and expected graduation date.
  4. Publications within the last five years.
  5. Doctoral Dissertation.
  6. Copies of degree certificates and transcripts for all degrees obtained.
  7. Three Recommendation Letters.
  8. Teaching Plan, including proposed courses.
  9. Copy of teaching certification, if applicable.
  10. Any additional documents beneficial for review.
  11. Candidate List (for internal review).
  12. Submit a Word file of the CV and Candidate List via email to meditator@gms.ndhu.edu.tw.
    • Email subject: "Faculty Application + Full Name (e.g., John Doe)".
    • All supporting documents should be sent via postal mail; no need to email these.
