114 Academic Year Indigenous Special Program Admission Information for the Department of Law

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

    • Graduates (including current year graduates) of public or private senior high schools or vocational schools officially recognized by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan.
    • Graduates (including current year graduates) of overseas senior high schools or vocational schools recognized by the Ministry of Education.
    • Individuals who meet the requirements stipulated in Article 2 of the Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Academic Qualifications for University Admission.
  2. Applicants must possess Indigenous status, as defined and verified in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Indigenous Peoples Status Act.

Application Process:

  1. Period for Retrieving Initial Exam Fee Account:

    • From 9:00 AM on February 11, 2024 (Tuesday) to 3:00 PM on February 25, 2024 (Tuesday).
  2. Online Registration and Submission of Review Materials:

    • From 9:00 AM on February 11, 2024 (Tuesday) to 4:00 PM on February 25, 2024 (Tuesday).

Required Submission Documents:

  1. Applicant Information Form:

    • A personal statement of learning experiences (reflections on high school learning experiences and motivation for enrollment), limited to 1,000 words.
    • A Chinese essay analyzing a significant recent domestic or international issue related to Indigenous rights (e.g., using Constitutional Interpretation No. 803 as a topic to analyze the development of Indigenous hunting rights), limited to 1,000 words.
  2. Household Registration Transcript (or other proof of household registration).

  3. Academic Qualifications:

    • Graduation certificate or proof of enrollment.
    • Current year graduates must submit a photocopy of their student ID card stamped with the registration seal for the final semester.
  4. Course Records and Diverse Achievements:

    • Course Records:

      • Graduates or those applying with equivalent qualifications must submit all academic transcripts.
      • Current year graduates must submit transcripts for all five completed semesters.
    • Diverse Achievements:

      • Evidence of participation in tribal cultural affairs or community activities.
      • Certificates of participation in organizations (including tribal organizations), English proficiency tests, Indigenous language proficiency certification ("Intermediate Level" or above), skills certification, social service proof, competition achievements, or other special recognitions such as passing national English proficiency exams.
      • Relevant supporting documents for any other special achievements should also be submitted.
  5. Other Supporting Documents:

    • Any additional materials that may assist in the review process.
